A2 Festival

A generation who long deeply for Jesus

What is A2 Festival?

We have all endured over a year of restriction and separation. For many this has been painful, lonely and has come with personal loss. A barrage of complex issues and questions bombard young people from sunrise to sundown. Self-harm, anorexia, anxiety and depression among  young people are at an all-time high. We believe that now, God wants his turn - that God wants to flood in and call this precious generation back to himself. A generation who long deeply for Jesus and desire to see him revealed on the earth.

We believe that now is the time, as things are opening up, to invite you to come this summer to an environment where you can have loads of fun and connect with others, whilst having a life-changing experience with God.

Nestled in the heart of the Dorset countryside, a stone’s throw from the A30, is Lox Lane Christian Encounter Centre. It’s an old farm built from the local green sandstone which for the past 20 years has been the destination for thousands of people who have come to meet with God. This August it becomes the venue for A2 Festival.

A2 Festival is is brought by A2: youth workers from congregations across Bath, partnering with a team from Prayerhouse Weymouth, who have delivered Weymouth Camp since 1991 and Fathers House Shaftesbury. We are working with Churches from the South West -  Bath to Bournemouth. Our vision is to create that fabulous mix of fresh air, camping and young people with the glorious presence of God.

The festival will feature loads of worship led by up-and-coming worship leaders alongside life-changing speakers in the big marquee. The outdoor stage will showcase live bands, (yours?) crazy outdoor games and on-site activities, bungee-run etc, coffee shop and food vans, stretching over three days. We have a huge field for pitching tents, within easy reach of shower blocks and toilets.

You will need a tent. You will also need to come ready to cook your own food, or buy it locally (you will need a ride to get into town). For this you will need a portable gas stove. You might want to team up with others from your town/ youth group and come up with a super-fab alfresco dining experience; you may be able to persuade a nice friendly youth leader to help get you organised… Under 18s, you will need to come as part of a group, which must have a youth leader or parent to accompany it.

If you are part of a band, this is your big chance to shine! We will have a stage with a sound engineer just waiting to launch your career! Just book in your band and we will give you a slot on the main stage.
