"And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased"
Mark Wade and REMAR SOS
Mark is a friend of the Prayerhouse and has served the people of Eastern Europe for the past 12 years. He lives in Romania and has a rented home in Mukachevo, Ukraine. Through Mark's connection with the organisation, REMAR SOS, we have now been able to send two teams out to help support refugees inside Ukraine. The first team entered via the Romanian border at Suceava and were able to make a significant contribution to building up a camp in the Cathedral Square of Chernivtsi, a city of 300,000 already bulging with refugees. The team were able to bring vital practical help to the construction of the huge tents which form ther basis of the centre. The camp is now able to provide emergency accommodation and support whilst feeding 1000 people per day. Check out REMAR SOS.
The border with Poland
We have sent money to Poland via our friendship with Polish pastors, Adam and Kasia Sawiski. Our second team also recently returned from working with REMAR SOS on the Ukrainian side of the border with Przemysl in Poland. This time we were directly working with hundreds of refugees passing in both directions over the border every day, providing hot drinks, soup, snacks and travel essentials along with practical love and support. We listened to so many deeply moving stories of families separated by the conflict and were able to put an arm around and pray for many suffering Ukranian people.
All donations go directly to those working in the frontlines. It helps provide accomodation, food, medical supplies and anything needed to help and serve those who are displaced and seeking refuge at this time. The Prayerhouse teams have travelled at their own expense, or as directly sponsored by individuals.
Thank you for your generosity!
